Nadeem’s story: Undergrowth is visceral. I wanted to recreate the scent that fresh mint from the garden emanates from the damp earth and bottle it. I love watching people’s reaction to this scent. It is somewhat familiar, but as soon as it comes out of the bottle it takes a moment before you recognize it. Undergrowth is the perfume that brings the nose of those who try it back to smell it again and again until in the end they succumb and can no longer resist without it.
Top Notes: earth, garden mint, grass
Heart Notes: green notes, tangerine, iris
Base: vetiver, patchouli and white musk

Rook Perfumes is a niche fragrance house based in London. Rook was created by perfumer Nadeem Crowe, a North London-based emergency doctor who is also an actor. "The Rook Triangle represents the balance to which his three parallel careers – science, art and perfumery – lead him, with the latter sitting wonderfully in the middle of the first two." The launch, which took place during the pandemic, took place in 3 stores in the United States then in Germany, Poland, Beijing, England and soon also in Sweden, Taiwan and Italy. In the last year the collection has appeared twice in GQ magazine, L'Officiel, Marie Claire USA, Vogue Cz, Dazed Beauty, Grazia Russia, Rede Vetro.
