Pelle di Faun draws inspiration directly from Greek mythology. Fauns are creatures of the forest and symbolize freedom and self-assertion. They are half beasts (goats) and half human and are particularly known for their extremely free sexual behavior. Fauns are usually depicted as tireless fornicators, following nymphs everywhere in an attempt to mate with them, or as protagonists of group orgies. They symbolize the idea of sex done for pleasure, without procreation, and this may be the reason why the Catholic Church has turned this figure into the devil. I imagined an awakening in the open air, a group of fauns resting under a large tree. The sun is rising above the sea horizon. The salty breeze melts with the glittering drops of sweat on your skin, lying like dew on the leaves of the bushes hidden by the golden dunes. A collective hug after a night of passion, the sticky smell of wild and bestial sex.
