The beautiful mosaics of the Byzantine civilization, like those of Ravenna, have shining gold tiles but imperfect because worn out by time. This sense of theatrical and bright splendor but accompanied by a dark and gloomy side inspired Byzantine Amber.
Geranium – pulpy, pink, spicy, a little green, contrasts with the dry minerality of ambergris storax.
In the base there is a familiar structure, an amber accord enriched by a spice that makes it sensual, cinnamon.
That warm, lustrous accord is overshadowed by leathery, smoky and animal aspects, which give intensity and characterize the composition.
