Inspiration: urban tension

Romeo is addicted to the scent of asphalt and everything he embodies: urban modernity, roads that connect people, but also pollution, dust and human excesses.

Anne-Sophie Behaghel’s Osphalte perfume is conceived as a distinctive perfume, a smell that takes over Ohtop’s ultra-contemporary, urban and refined universe. The asphalt and concrete are covered with notes of patchouli, suede, vetiver, labdanum and a modern iris.

Inspiration: the essentials

Any creator sooner or later is faced with the idea of simplicity. Hearing the call to simplify again and again, up to almost complete nudity. Everyone, in fact, seeks an apparent neglect that hides a real refinement.

This cologne is a perfume that becomes one with us in total nakedness, exposing a studied randomness stating: “I am that
that I am.”

Fleur d’OH is a gender fluid orange flower that oscillates between the radiance and softness of orange blossom and the vibration of modern amber woods. This is a theme close to my heart because I have always wanted to wear a scent of orange blossom that was neither feminine nor classic cologne. The beginning of yuzu and shiso leaves creates a spark whose light extends to the bottom of this musk-lined fragrance
and mosses.

Inspiration: Memories influence creativity

Shaping style often aims to recreate something from the past. Romeo has been deeply influenced by his discoveries in fashion and fragrances over the years to sharpen his taste. Hence this tribute to the first times, to the first love, to the first experiments and to the soothing memories. A perfume as comforting as it is hyper elegant.

Green Flannel is a nod to that mythical scent of the 70s that Romeo and I had in common, Grey Flannel, and for which I have a particular tenderness. I called it Green Flannel because I know Romeo’s attachment to the world of fashion and therefore to fabrics, and also in reference to the beautiful English green of OHTOP packaging. So I composed a contemporary version of this purple galbanum, much more refined, very monolithic, with an addictive amber musky sensuality.

Inspiration: Creativity needs madness

There comes a time when we have to break the rules and stop behaving well to access our sense of style. To be creative you need a bit of madness, even when it seems strange and puzzling to the world.

I work instinctively and I’m curious. I like what is primitive and I realized that we cannot control nature, because we are part of nature. We all have beliefs and behaviors that lead us to some form of paranoia. Certainly, to varying degrees, but aren’t these forms of madness what make us different and relevant? The link between madness and creation is not recent. History is full of big names who embody the artist of delirium, without limits, neither superego nor social mask. Paranoia is a blessing when it becomes the singular pretext for all free forms of creativity.
