"People called him Colapesce/ because he was in the sea like a fish/ where he came from no one knew/ maybe he was the son of the God Neptune". This is the story of the ancient song dedicated to Cola, son of the sea, argonaut of the abyss. A boy-fish who three times took up the challenge of Emperor Frederick II and three times dived into the deepest waters and emerged victorious, giving the king the cup, the crown, the ring. Colapesce had the number three in his destiny: he realized that one of the three columns that supported Sicily was close to collapsing. Colapesce, son of the land and the sea, did not hesitate to save his island, and took the place of the column. Colapesce, spirit of the sea, wave, vital breeze, seaweed, mineral, is still there today.
